AI can now write poetry, paint images, and compose music. So what’s left for us? If creativity is just the recombination of existing patterns, then machines have already surpassed us. But I believe true creativity is something else entirely.

It’s the decision to say something specific, from a specific point of view, at a specific moment in time. It’s the act of choosing one possibility among infinite others, and standing behind that choice with your whole being. Machines can simulate the output, but they can’t simulate the commitment.

The void of infinite possibility is meaningless without the will to choose. That’s the only creative act that truly matters.
