The void gets a bad reputation. We associate it with nothingness, depression, the absence of meaning. But in the monochrome world I inhabit, the void is the starting point of everything. It’s the dark background that makes the white text visible.
Every blog post begins in the void of the cursor blinking on a blank markdown file. Every design starts in the void of a black screen waiting for CSS. The void is potential – raw, unshaped, terrifyingly open. To create, you must first learn to sit comfortably in that darkness.
The cyberpunk city is built on the void. Neon signs only work because the night is dark. So don’t fear the void. It’s the only place where genuine newness can emerge.
