Some people think dark mode is just a preference. I think it’s a philosophical position. Light backgrounds flood our eyes with photons, demanding attention. Dark backgrounds retreat, allowing the content to step forward. In a world of constant stimulation, darkness is a gift.
Designing this site in pure black and warm white forced me to confront what really matters. Without color, without decoration, without flash – what remains? Only the words, the structure, the ideas. It’s a crucible that burns away everything false.
The philosophy of darkness isn’t about gloom. It’s about finding the minimal amount of light needed to reveal truth. Everything else is noise.
